On 3 April 2025, IPSP-CNR staff (Dr. Gianni Della Rocca) led 9 students of the Master’s degree course in Conservation and Evolution, teaching Pathology of Plant Natural Systems at the University of Pisa, to visit the two pilot areas of the LIFE MycoRestore project (Vallombrosa and San Godenzo) to explain the project and the use of local mycological resources to fight major forest diseases.
Visits like this one highlight the importance of connecting research with education. By bringing students directly to the field, the LIFE MycoRestore project inspires the next generation of conservationists while extending its impact beyond the pilot areas.
