We are excited to announce that the UVA team has recently published a groundbreaking scientific article in the prestigious Journal of Forestry Research by Springer Nature. This article represents an important contribution to the field of biocontrol and forest management, showcasing the innovative research conducted by the team as part of the LIFE MycoRestore project.

It covers a broad range of topics including forest biology, ecology, forest management, and the application of innovative techniques in forestry practices. The article titled “Possibilities of Native Endophytic Fungi as Entomopathogenic Biocontrol Agents at a Local Scale: The Case of Deciduous and Non-Deciduous Mediterranean Forest Trees” investigates the potential use of native endophytic fungi as natural biocontrol agents against forest pests in Mediterranean regions.

This research is a direct outcome of the LIFE MycoRestore project, that not only highlights the scientific advancements made within the project but also forms a part of the AfterLIFE activities, which ensure that the knowledge and findings generated by the project continue to be disseminated and applied beyond its conclusion.
