Dissemination of MycoRestore on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Zuleica García Palacios and Laura Vaca Igualador, members of the Plant-Microorganism Interaction Group at IRNASA-CSIC, have given a talk and several science outreach workshops last Wednesday, March 1, at the Instituto de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (IESO) Las Batuecas in La Alberca (Salamanca), as part of the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

During these talks they showed part of their work in the Life Mycorestore project, teaching the students the role played by microorganisms in the health of forest ecosystems and the importance of conserving and caring for our forests.

In these days they show the women workers and help to spread science among the youngest, besides being able to increase the awareness of the new generations about environmental problems and the possible solutions that science can provide.
