Inoculation training in Italy

On October 28th, a training course titled “Demonstration of inoculation techniques for ectomycorrhizal fungi (Pisolitus tinctorius) and truffle (Tuber borchii) in fruit chestnut groves for the implementation and diversificiation of production and the biocontrol of root diseases” was held in the demonstration area of San Godenzo, Italy.

Partner IPSP-CNR and IDForest led the training session which was attended by 11 people. The group consisted of forest managers, land owners, and students of the agricultural technical institute. Together, the inoculation activities were demonstrated, showing the attendees both HOW to inoculate adult trees and WHY it is beneficial.
