Students obtain ECC Certification at Quintanas School

Volterra News MycoRestore

A group of students from the second course of Sustainable Forest Management, organised by Mycelio and Volterra in Tavertet, have obtained the European Chainsaw Certification (ECC) granted by the Quintanas School, after completing the training given by Maiol Montané and the corresponding forestry practices in the forests surrounding the Mas Rajols farm.

This certification helps to establish a clear level of professional competence and skills for chainsaw operators, which helps to reduce work-related accidents in the sector. It also facilitates labour mobility between European countries, which is beneficial for the development and strengthening of the forestry and arboriculture sectors.

The course will continue to address other Sustainable Forest Management issues, but obtaining the ECC Certification, is a first tangible result in our work to promote responsible forestry practices.
