Volterra News MycoRestore

Within the framework of the II Sustainable Forest Management Course organized by Mycelio and Volterra in Tavertet, special attention was given to the circular economy. Students had the opportunity to learn about the process of mushroom production using substrate made from wood extracted from the forest. Additionally, they were taught how to transform pruning waste into biochar and utilize the spent substrate after cultivation to produce compost. These practices promote the comprehensive utilization of forest resources and foster sustainable management of ecosystems, promoting a responsible and sustainable approach to forest management.
