The 2nd Sustainable Forest Management Course has started in Tavertet and with it, new students have arrived to learn how to maintain a healthy and productive forest.
Essential skills such as chainsaw handling and selective pruning will be taught during the course, as well as techniques to sustainably harvest wood for mushroom cultivation and biochar production.
Students will have the opportunity to work with experts in forest management and with the Mycelio and Volterra teams who will share their experience on the sustainable use of natural resources and forest care.
