As part of networking activities, our LIFE MycoRestore project has received 20 Cocoons from LIFE The Green Link project to help us restoring a Dehesa in Salamanca (La Alamedilla) that is severely affected by the Seca disease. These days the Volterra team helped planting these Cocoons with different oak varieties to bring more biodiversity to this land and hopefully future climate resilience. The Cocoons had to be protected due to the presence of cows and Iberian pigs.
Project partners from Volterra and CSIC-IRNASA, who regularly monitor the area, will keep track of the success of this reforestation together
