Last week we visited the bamboo’s plantation in Ceclavín (picture 1). Bamboo is a fast-growth species, and it is a perfect ‘tool’ to monitor the results of including biochar in plantations. These plants were planted in June some of them using biochar as a soil amendment and some without.

Despite the covid19 situation and the hot and dry summer, we have gone through this year, we have observed how the bamboo is regrowing and producing new shoots (picture 2). We just hope for rainy autumn (picture 3), so this bamboo can have a healthy and vigorous growth.
